The Global Talent Visa (Subclass 858) is designed to attract highly skilled professionals from around the world to live and work in Australia permanently. This visa targets individuals who have an internationally recognized record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in their field.
Eligibility

Must have an internationally recognized record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in one of the target sectors (e.g., resources, agri-food and agtech, energy, health industries, defence, advanced manufacturing and space, circular economy, DigiTech, infrastructure and tourism, financial services and fintech, and education)

Must be nominated by an eligible individual or organization with a national reputation in the same field

Must have the ability to earn at or above the Fair Work high income threshold (currently AUD 158,500 per year)

Must meet health and character requirements

Must not have had a visa application refused or a visa cancelled while in Australia
What You Can Do When You Hold This Visa
