    Eligibility

    To be eligible for the Child Visa, the applicant must be the biological, adopted, or stepchild of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. The child must be under 18 years old, or between 18-25 years old and enrolled as a full-time student who is financially dependent on the sponsoring parent. Alternatively, if over 18, the child must be unable to work due to a disability and dependent on their parent. The child also needs to be sponsored by their parent or their parent’s partner and must meet the necessary health and character requirements.
